Let's Tackle Cancer
CTD Newcastle’s branch manager Ernie Quinn had the pleasure of meeting with Lady Elsie Robson earlier this week to hand over a £1360.00
donation raised by suppliers and staff alike at the CTD North Golf day 2016 for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation. The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation
Carrying on Sir Bobby Robson’s legacy, Lady Elsie Robson continues to work tirelessly along with their 3 sons, trustees and select celebrities such as Alan Shearer to help raise money for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.
Devoting the last 18 months of his life, Sir Bobby Robson worked hard to raise an outstanding £500,000 to build a new cancer drug trials centre despite being ill himself.
It is this dedication and generosity shown by Sir Bobby Robson which has made it possible to move forward with important research into Cancer and ultimately provide patients with potential treatments.
Sir Bobby Robson officially launched the Sir Bobby Robson Cancer Trials Research Centre back in 2009 with the aim to develop new ways to detect and treat cancer and fund training for clinical trials and doctors.
Working to improve clinical trials and treatments, the Sir Bobby Robson Cancer trials research centre is a buzzing hub filled with positivity and new ideas and continues to grow on a day to day basis thanks to the kindness and generosity of the general public. CTD North Golf Day
On the 22nd July 2016, the golf tournament took place at the renowned Filly Golf Course at Close House Golf Club, Newcastle.
Suppliers, Customers and CTD Staff set out for an entertaining day filled with golf competitions, food and even a stand-up comedian to round off the day.
CTD would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended the golf day and for helping us raise an admirable £1360.00 generated from raffle and competition entries.
After the success of our recent CTD Golf day we look forward to next year’s event!
