CTD Tiles Trend
Our busy head office staff headed South to visit London’s largest and longest running design show 100% Design which has recently moved to the awe-inspiring Location Olympia London.
At The Forefront Of Design
100% Designs fast paced and electric atmosphere certainly created a buzz this year as over 800 exhibitors set out to impress show attendees from all aspects of the interior industry.
This year 100% Designs compelling layout focused on colour in a way we've never seen before, truly a magnificent set up which reflects the importance of colour throughout the interior industry.
As we made our way through the main hall it was clear to see that there were a number of common trends emerging which caught our attention for all the right reasons and some very exciting twists on current trends such as wood on the walls, foliage indoors and metal feature pieces.
Exteriors / Interiors
One of the more outrageous yet increasingly popular interior / architectural designs has to be the appearance of live walls made up from preserved seasonal foliage or artificial plants.
It is the first time we have seen such a thing incorporated into a trade show stand build itself and we have to say it looks great. Don't you agree?
This modern, environmentally friendly showstopper oozes sophistication and creative design aspects which we love.
Big corporations such as Marks & Spencers have already taken a shining to this trend and implemented a large-scale live wall on the exterior wall of many of their shops on the UK's high streets.
Colour & Shape
This year exhibitors such as Novamobili have demonstrated a true understanding of the importance of colour and shape throughout their stands & future design developments.
Never before have we seen such a carefully planned and well-executed trade show stand which coincides with the 100% Design 2015 theme.
Just take a look at their home inspired stand with dark shades and colour flashes, clearly a well-considered space with the excitement factor.
Novamobili also had a live artist creating a colourful, urban inspired piece throughout the day, a nice touch and definitely something we enjoyed watching evolve throughout the day.
100% Design was segmented into four individual sections: Design & Build, Interiors, Kitchen & Bathroom and Workplace.
All of which were filled to the brim with carefully selected industry exhibitors who were eager to impress, including our sister brand World’s End Tiles who were at the 100% Design show as part of their highly anticipated two-week launch event.
World's End Tiles were celebating the arrival of their Marazzi and Wedi Wetroom showrooms located at their Battersea showroom together with their hot off the press new website - visit www.worldsendtiles.co.uk
The Future of Design
As the day drew to an end the energy at the show amplified as VIP's descended after working hours. After a busy evening networking and taking in our surrounding we couldn't help but feel inspired and proud to be part of such a forward-thinking industry with such creative and distinctive interior trends heading our way over the coming years.
